FLOORING
For a basement, the most recommended materials are vinyl, vinyl planks, laminate, ceramic tile or certain engineered floors. They are more resistant to moisture and temperature variations.
No, hardwood flooring cannot be installed over a heated floor; however, most engineered woods are compatible with heated floors. It is important to choose a suitable product and to follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
CERAMIC
Ceramic tile is very easy to maintain. Usually it is enough to sweep or vacuum regularly and wash with a mild cleaner. The grout can be cleaned as needed to preserve the original appearance of the covering.
